Ah, California—the land of endless ocean views, laid-back seals, and boats fancier than my first car. This trip was a perfect mix of salty air, crashing waves, and questionable decisions involving seafood portions.
Lighthouse Views & Windblown Hair
First stop: a lighthouse standing tall like it owned the place. Waves smashed against the jetty, sending mist everywhere (including directly into my camera lens). The wind had me looking like I’d been through a rock concert, but hey, that’s part of the charm.

Seals: The True Kings of California
Forget Hollywood, the real stars here are the harbor seals. Lounging like they just finished a 9-to-5 in corporate America, they reminded me that I, too, need more naps in my life. One even gave me a smug look that said, "You work for a living? Couldn’t be me."

Marinas & Boats I Can’t Afford
Next, I strolled through a marina filled with sailboats worth more than my house. Sea lions had taken over some docks, barking as if they were negotiating contracts. The whole scene made me rethink my life choices—maybe I should've been a sea lion?

Pelicans & Their Show-Off Moves
Just when I thought I’d seen it all, a squad of pelicans took off from the water in perfect synchronization. If birds had an Olympic team, these guys would take gold. Meanwhile, I tripped over a rock. Classic.

Sailing Off into the Sunset... Almost
As the day wrapped up, sailboats glided against a backdrop of rolling hills and golden light. Beautiful, peaceful—until I realized I forgot sunscreen. Sunburn: 1, Me: 0.
California, you were wild, salty, and full of surprises. Until next time, I’ll be dreaming of the sea (and maybe getting a better hat).
